I had both my EGRs done about 18 months ago … unfortunately, they were finest Chindean quality, so I’ve replaced the right hand EGR with OEM after it failed.

I’m not a mechanic, but am not shy to tinker (I have a series 3 Land Rover, so am happy spinning spanners) - found the EGR replacement a pretty straightforward job …. I bought a set of Halfords flex head ratchet spanners, which were needed to get to a couple of tricky bolts, and found that my magnetic bolt retrieval tool was handy when attempting to defy gravity.

I think I used the Britpart video tutorial on YouTube as my guide - all straightforward, and a job I regretted not doing the first time around once I did it myself …. A couple of tea breaks and total time was a bit less than 3 hours.
