CCF File Edits

So my '10 L320 TDV6 is going into a local independent for some work soon.
Whilst it's there I'm going to have a bit of CCF editing done also, interested in any suggestions as to what I should have coded.

So far my list looks like this:

code out auto wipers, returning to normal intermittent
code out auto wipe of rear screen when selecting reverse
code out auto fold of mirrors on locking

retrofit heated steering wheel and paddles and code accordingly
code in timed heating and FBH remote control

Investigate the possibility of activating digital TV to the dash screen (I think I need to buy a lot of parts for this though)

Little surprised you want to turn off the powerfold mirrors, but then again I turned off the paddle shift. Smile

Cheers

Mostly because I know the motors wear out so I'd rather not fold them in when not necessary!

Rear wipe in reverse is good ? Stops you having to turn it on

Annoys the hell out of me as my rear screen is pretty much always dry and I tend to clear the front screen as I'm reversing off my drive.

There's no right answer for everyone with stuff like this, which is why it annoys me that, as the owners of the cars, we're not allowed to configure stuff like this ourselves.

Discovered another one I should have had coded out this morning.

For some unknown reason the car has decided that whenever the temperature is 4c or below the heated screens (front and rear lol) must be on! even when (as 95% of the time) they are completely clear!

Yet another "feature" that can't be controlled by the owner!

That was a gift from BMW.
I think the temperature threshold was much higher previously, so be thankful.

I'm with you on the auto wipers. I disabled them on my TDV8 as I find them to be useless and much prefer a normal intermittent wiper setting. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
