I agree 100%.

We drove one before getting RRS and hated the engine noise in a car supposedly able to go off-road or challenge S-Class Mercs as luxury cars.....

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I ran a TD6 for 2 years before the RRS and have to agree with Shmoog I'm afraid, RRS TD is just so much quieter and smoother there is no comparison. But it look lovely RR and hope you enjoy it. 26mpg is actually pretty good but I managed to get mine up to 34 on the motorway haul from Stirling to Southampton. The driving posyition is wonderful in the FF, you really do feel as if you tower above all the plebs in their repmobiles!
You must notice a trendous difference in the performance over the S/C though RR, you almost have to plan ahead before doing overtaking in the TD6, but at least you can see well infront to mhelp make the decision! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

and also adam the FFRR is brilliant offroad - mine featured in Land Rover Monthly at a bg ofroad event up in Scotland and went on it's road tyres, it was only 3 weeks old and I took it just about everywhere that all the old defenders went. They all thought I was mad, but hey it's still a Land Rover was designed to do just the sort of things I play at, just that it was in leathe clad and air conditioned luxury and not a drop of water came in through the door seals unlike all the Defenders! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
