There appears to be other G4 owners who have problems with cruise and some other items not working. The only items on my RRS that are not working at the moment is sat nav needs a new one and front distance sensors they say because of winch? I would be interested in hearing from any other G4 owners to swap notes on there RRS G4 s and any other model G4s and view to possible outings and meets

Yes , it is full adaptive cruise.It works well, very impressed, takes a little time to get used to.

A update,,

Well according to Landrover, you can not have a front winch and adaptive cruise,, have given a couple of reg number, of G4 RRS's with both, and still they say it can not be done, and they do not want to know !!

Yep, after our little chats, had another word with LR customer care !!! and they did suggest another dealer !! That's where she is now, will LR decide what they are prepared to do,
Did give them yours and G Lee's reg numbers, All 3 of our Sport's have the act cruise, according to the build sheets !!

My agreement is, that when the buttons on the wheel is pressed, the info centre comes up " Cruise not available" so in my book, it does not work !! hence a warranty problem, just like any sport owner would do !! 997 TT, RR TDV8 Vog SE 90 V8 Hybrid

Hi, TJ,

Sorry to hear that you are still having problems. Pity that you do not have dealer to throw it back at. Perhaps you need to find a good independant man with lots of winch and RRS knowlege. Which may appear obvious but a good path to travel. Just so you do not feel lonely in yuor plight, I have not had a sat nav since I bought mine, now been in dealership for over a week, car thinks it is a ship and goes up and down the channel according to screen.


Put in destination and calculate, it then sets off from between Southampton and Cherbourg. So far they have tried new unit and aerial to no avail so over to Land Rover experts ?

Morning Lee , as you were typing your post above, i was having another "Chat" with Customer services,

All along, with this problem, i have been trying to pass the "attitude" test !! and after pointing out that the vehicle had cruise fitted originally (as per LR's built sheet), and now it does not work, it should be fixed under warranty, and nothing to do where the vehicle was bought !! and guess what,
Landrover are today instructing the second dealer to sort the problem, (cost aprox £2K !!)
so fingers crossed, i hope to see next week sometime, all sorted,

Well thanks to Lee & Ianby, and of course Landrover customer service, I got mine back this afternoon,,
All sorted, with the adaptive cruise now working as it should be,

Lee, hows the sat-nav doing ??, Whilst mine was with the dealer, got them to download the "on move" upgrade software, definite improvement !! 997 TT, RR TDV8 Vog SE 90 V8 Hybrid

Numbers in the region of 40 D3 (all v8s, bit a mix of LHD and RHD), 35 RRS V8s (again a mix of L and R) and 50 RR v8s - mix again. 15 Freelanders are being mentioned ?? courtesy of G4 owners club ,
I heard, that of the 134 vehicle taken on the 06 event, about 40 of them were also used in 2003, !!  997 TT, RR TDV8 Vog SE 90 V8 Hybrid

If you are sad enough, you could count the sport's in the pic above !!
