Normal for test drive during 1st year service?

Asking the wisdom of the forum please...

My SVR has been in at the dealer for it's first year 1 service today, received video of inspection, etc and walkthrough of the detail (some warranty work needed on a driveshaft gaiter, non urgent, book it in soon). Paid, all good, got home.

Checked the connected app, and the vehicle went for a 6 mile round trip on a local A road after the service, managing 16mpg.

We were not aware that there was a need for a technician test drive, and this was not highlighted as to have happened. Having had previous (diesel) RRS' first services at that dealer, not experienced this before, so this is a first.

Question - is this normal?

Dashcam footage has it being driven hard.

Hi,

If you search on here for “service schedule” you will see that item 50/51 is “Carry out road test”.

How it’s driven would depend on what the tech is trying to prove/check/test.

If you’re not happy, talk to the Service Adviser when you go to collect the vehicle.
