England 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Alaska White
2011 RR Sport HSE - iphone 6 - inbuilt ipod cable

I recently saw a video on YouTube where a guy connected a 30pin to 30pin 12v to 5v converter to the ipod cable which is connected to the port in the top of the centre console. He then used a genuine apple lightning to 30 pin adapter to connect an iphone 6

I am awaiting the 30pin to 30pin converter to be delivered but tried the lightning to 30 pin adapter this afternoon and its plays ok but if you pause the song it only remains on paused for around 3 seconds.

Has anyone else used this method to connect a newer generation iphone or ipod to their 2011 ? and if so have they experienced the same issue at all ? Or am i being premature and must wait for the converter !

Any assistance will be gratefully received.

Thanks

Pause how? And I cannot get my head around your adapters. I had the “factory iPod cable” and used Apple’s old style apple to Lightning cable converter Lead, then later switched to Bovee Bluetooth connectivity connected to the same factory cable.

If you don’t have the factory cable or equivalent I cannot see how this would work at all.

Anyhoo, if I recall, you probably need to turn the hifi off rather than pause it. Or switch media source. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
