HST - 48 hours in!

Greetings all,

1st post, so here goes.

To any other HST owners out there....question...............

Are your exhausts level? i.e. does 1 sit lower than the other or are they dead level?

My stealer has advised me that 1 lower than the other is normal, however, i smell something brown and covered in flies and have investigated various marketing piccies I have on this there PC...they all look straight as a dye.

They are willing to take it in, but have said that they do not think anything is wrong. Car is 48 hours old and no, I have not hit anything low down.
Big Cry
Very intrigued.

to the forum Will.

I think your stealer is telling porkies, your exhaust tips should sit level under the rear bumper. The stealer is obviously trying to get away without having to rework your vehicle to the correct standard.

The current HST kit is an after sales modification, I can assure you that your vehicle was not built to that condition at Solihull. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Welcome Will

i suspect that if as TB said your motor has been done by the dealer, then any work that he has to do to it to rectify a trimming problem they will have to pay for themselves rather than claim it from L/R under warranty, as you say it smells a bit fishy Thumbs Up some of my Previous cars

Looks good mate but see if you can get a pic with the SC grill and vents ask or stealer if you can borrow them for a day or two to see if you like them RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Yep, dead right Envoy. They're happy to make repairs under LR warranty but just try and prove fault on a dealer-fitted part or accessory! Rolling Eyes MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

Nice looking motor, i think as Jay said try it with the S/C grille, it would look good with the lower part of the spoiler/bumper colour coded Thumbs Up INMHO some of my Previous cars

It's ironic that two of the key HST features, the grille and vents, actually dont look as good as S/C. I agree with Jay and Envoy that you should change both and see how it looks. Colour-coded side vents even better! Otherwise, to be truthful, it looks ok (even the colour)! Thumbs Up MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs
