Drivers Seat Repaired!

Well, I have been to B Trim in Enfield, as recommended on here. They have done an amazing job of my drivers seat and the whole job only took a couple of hours.

Afterwards I dropped into Yiannimize (no I cant afford a wrap! - my kids wanted T shirts Smile ) and I met Yianni and had a chat with him about his Urban SVR Sport. He recommends B trim too!

Here are some before and after shots. I am really pleased. What do you think? I cant recommend these guys highly enough. As you can see, the previous owner of my car had made a right mess of the drivers seat and it was quite torn. Many upholsterers I approached wouldn't even touch it and gave me sharp intakes of breath.

That repair looks great! Can I ask how much it cost for future reference?

£120 inc the VAT.

Although it also cost me £29 for a night in the local Travelodge and £60 in fuel from Wales!!

Well worth it for the quality of work. The match is superb, the seams and stitches are perfect to the original. They were doing some upgrades on a showroom fresh 70 plate L405, so know their stuff when it comes to LR products.

My seats damaged as the seat originally was - I guess poor quality vinyl used in that panel and it cannot handle constant flexing as big bums get in and out. 07MY RRS TDV6

Rolling with laughter

Just for the record the seat was ripped like this when I bought the car!

It wasn't a result of my rear end! Laughing

Did you get a new bolster fitted as well? Thats one of the reasons the sides split in the first place. The bolster looses it's firmness and then allows the cover to flex acutely in the same place. The vinyl side split on mine about 2 years ago, it was only small at about 10mm long but I replaced the bolster straightaway and 2 years later it is still only 10mm long. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
