Alarm issue?

So went out to my tonight and when I unlocked it the hazards flashed rapidly rather than the one long flash, locked it again then unlocked and back to normal. Does this signify anything? Steve

Hello Devon.

The rapid flashing means that your alarm has been triggered.
I had that a lot on my 2006 RRS, and the culprit was the bonnet
switch that didn't work properly, there is a microswitch under the
right latch, and they seems to fail after some years.
I simply took off the connector from the switch and "shortcircuited" it with a paper clip
and putt some electrotape around it .
My intention is to change the switch, soooon..
(it was more than a year ago i made the "mod")
U As a rule, I always resist temptations,
unless they are irresistible.
