GPF filter delete on 2019 SVR

Hi,

Appologies if this has run elsewhere but i could not find anything re my issue Sad

just joined having bought a new SVR with an Onxy conversion, as others have mentioned, the exhaust is to quiet (mine is straight piped from a new centre box) it seems to be the GPF filter from what i am being told, has anyone removed/bypassed this at all? if so did it increase the noise levels significantly or create any issues?

Mine is being done tomorrow, the filter is stripped out with a straight pipe running through it, so on the outside it looks stock, then a slight remap so that the management software doesnt look for the filter/heat sensors i am told,

Any thoughts, know its short notice lol

Thanks guy's

I’d be concerned about the mot in 3 years time, unless you can put it back to stock & also if they do a road side check will the detect wether it’s there or not,I know they can stick something up the exhaust to tell if the cat is still in place & if not your in big trouble. Andy.

I just don't see the point in modifying it, you invalidate your warranty, cause issues with roadside checks / MOT's and god knows what other problems for the ECU. Purely because you want a few more db on an already perfect sounding car.

If you want it louder, just buy an old one. It's been made quieter for a number of genuine reasons...i'm quite sure LR engineers know what they are doing! Now
