brake booster fails leak test?

so ive been getting lean codes for a while now. finally smoke tested brake booster after i figured out how.

vid here

and the pipe i pumped full of smoke

i assume i have to change out the brake booster and its been the cause of the vacuum. i did unplug it and plug the vacuum to plug the leak but the trims were still a bit funny. it might need adaptive trims reset tbf

You don’t need to.

If you loosen the ABS unit off it’s rubber mounts.
Unbolt the master cylinder 2 bolts it will swing out the way.
To allow booster to be changed once plastic shelf removed and pedal unclipped.

It's split into 2 parts.

Can't remember if both parts need to come out

So changed everything out, turns out I had a non supercharger brake servo. But I did another smoke test before I installed it, no issues.

After installation smoke pours out the back the same way, am guessing it's not the problem then?

Humm.

I wonder if it’s because your blowing rather than sucking Razz

I guess it needs a hole n the back to work

Aiye I watched both but I just assumed either way it'd be air tight :p I guess when it sucks it'll create an air seal

when the engine has been running for a bit, disconnect the vac pipe. It should hiss for a good few seconds (and loudly) if its good/new

My old one hissed for a second at best so I guess we'll see with this new one. Probably means backs to the drawing board on lean codes. Next up, lambda sensors replacement

I thought petrols used an electric pump on the passenger side to generate vacuum anyway ?
So what’s going on ? Where does the vac line go?

They do yeah, it has a vacuum pump does that mean that it won't affect the amount of oxygen going into combustion?

Am currently trying to still fix my lean codes, lambda sensors seem to be a good shout cause one banks fuel trims is double the others and I've tried all the conventional ways to check
