Wiper Blade Solution

I'm happy to report that I may have solved the windshield wiper dilemma. I inquired at the dealer about replacement all season blades for my RRS, as the OE ones are the reason I'm taking Prozac Crying or Very sad . The parts manager said, "we've got them and they are $62.00 USD each" I said, "you’ve got to be shi**in me" He said, with a smile "no, I'm not" So, I started my research and discovered a new product on the market, LATITUDE all seasons wiper blades made by rain x These blades are ice resistant, contoured to the window and snap in without any adapters. If that wasn’t good enough, they are virtually silent as they sweep the windshield and they cost a mere $9.95 USD each. I had the opportunity to use them today and I could not be more satisfied Very Happy

I installed the 22" blades, rain x does not show the RRS, the district manager from Quaker State Oil looked up my application and delivered the correct set.

Can see 'Weatherbeater' wiper blades but not 'Latitude' ones on the Rainex website - are these the same thing? Who stocks them in the UK?

I am not sure if the Weatherbeater is the same as the Latitude, I suspect it may not be. I will check with the local distributor after the Xmas holiday, as to the availability in the UK. Until then, have a Happy Hoilday Very Happy

If you can't get a lead on a UK supplier I am going to be in the US in 2 weeks, and again mid feb (SF and Tahoe). I have no problem with picking up a few sets and bringing them back Smile

Sorry Lads, I was away for the holidays. I placed a call today as to the availability of the rain x blades in the UK. I should have an answer as early as tomorrow (Friday)

In the event they are only available here, I'm sure we can figure something out. I have an office in San Francisco and live in the Lake Tahoe area, it looks like p-trax will be in either place around February.

So far, still very happy with these blades, the "acid test" will be how well they perform after being in service for awhile.

I'll keep you posted...

interesting, so it looks as if there's a new type of blade available. Have you got a part number or something? SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD
