Newbie stage 2 help

hi all some may remember I bought a sport and it was pouring oil out etc and lots of issues. So it went back and they said was sorted which oil leak was but then all other bits they said they forgot so I pushed back and have arranged for it to go into landrover. I'm just trying to not go into this blind so I have an issue where I set off and its like it hangs in neutral untill you re accelerate or stop and go in an out of reverse my dash says transmission error is this something huge? As they said if it is too expensive they will take back and do it but I really don't feel safe to do that i have a young one and it needs to be safe.

Has anyone come across those symptoms?

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

It could be the selector linkage otherwise I would fear it would be expensive to fix.

I would be pushing for a refund before your 30 days is up (if that is
A Thing)
