Should be a easy fit as mine has one & when I changed my rear bumper for the my19 one I took note & it looks like you have to remove rear bumper & take the crash bar off & the Towbar goes in its place, here’s a pic with bumper off.Ifvyou zoom in you can see how it’s fastened with 4 bolts on each side.

I like the idea of the deployable one as it saves kneeling down to fit the removable one and saves storing it in the back of the car. I guess it's a bit of a gimmick but it's another gadget and I guess we all love them.

I've just spoken with a dealer who are selling an RRS without a tow bar and they're quoting me around £3,200 to retrofit a deployable tow bar as apparently the rear bumper needs changing. Apparently this is the same for the removable type as well.

What a load of bull ,the only difference is the rear tow eye cover, which I have both tow eye covers which both fit,the only difference is the one you have now you would have to remove for it to deploy but its only 2 screws & 10 seconds to remove or you can buy a tow eye cover for £100 plus vat & that's what I did. So, if I’m fitting a detachable tow bar, do I actually need to get an alternative tow hook cover, or will the one fitted still fit once the hook itself is in storage? |

You can leave your tow eye cover but you’ll have to remove it to deploy the bar,ive got both, the one that stays on has a cut out for the bar to deploy. This pic is with tow eye cover for tow bar to deploy.

So, for the rare occasions that I want to fit the detachable tow hook, I can use the OEM original cover that doesn't have cut outs, and just remove it to fit the hook.

Yes,2 screws to unfasten & it just pulls off.It does also look better with the full cover, just don’t deploy Towbar by accident as it will do damage. You can see where the screws go in the picture. Andy.

It's a detachable, not a deployable, so no danger of that.

I don’t know about the detachable as I’ve not seen one close up on the sport. Andy.
