Sump gasket changed and steering affected

I'm after a bit of help from a member with experience of this. I have just had my sump gasket changed under warranty by LR dealer, an 8 hour job, and when I got the car back it had a light pull to the right and the steering wheel is way off to the left. The dealer said that they haven't done anything to affect the steering but that they would check and correct the tracking for me free of charge. I know if was right before it went in to the dealer so does anyone have any clues what they might have done?

Changing the sump gasket appears to be an engine out job. That requires the body to be removed which means they've at least disconnected the lower steering column in the process.

When I had turbos replaced - again body off - the dealership managed to damage the steering rack to such an extent that it was dangerous to drive. A new rack and lower column were required.

The garage will deny it till they are blue in the face but it's almost certain that they've Censored up the job somewhere along the line. Hopefully it's just a case of putting the wheel back on straight and doing a 4 wheel alignment. Hopefully it's not a Censored rack like with mine. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Sumatra Black
Oil sump leak, gasket and sump replacement L320

Hi, I’ve just purchased a 2006 RRS 2.7 and theres an oil leek. Got a diagnostic done for £68 from clickmechanic and they said it’s the oil sump gasket. He went on to explain that the oil sump gasket needs replacing as a lot of oil is leaking out and he also mentioned it’s worth changing the sump it self due to the age of the vehicle and the sump having “pours” which leaks oil and these are prone to twisting!? ... is this true or is he just saying this for more cash? Labour cost wise it’s the same price quoted for a gasket change at about £177 if I want the sump changed I just pay the extra it costs him to buy from Land Rover itself... so was wondering if anyone whose experienced in this can help. Thank you very much
