Wheel Wobble/Vibrations

Took the Sport to have its wheels balanced as the fronts wobble/vibrate at approx 60mph.

The garage took a look at the tyres and said there's no point because of the tyre wear on each tyre is causing the problem because of the 4WD.
All tyres are of the same manuafacturer, size, rating and pressures +/- 1 psi. They are evenly worn across the tread although tread depths are slightly different but well within the min depth required by law (3 or 4mm).

So is it correct about the tyres and 4WD causing the problem or go elsewhere to have them balanced. RRS HSE SDV6 2012

No, and take it somewhere with Hunter Alignment equipment and know what they are doing, have the wheels balanced and 4 wheel alignment done. If they are cheap Chinese ditch finder tyres throw them away and fit something decent.

Cheers

As with most things though the operator has got to know what they’re doing. The car must be put in tight tolerance mode, if not walk away...... 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
