Ignore their advice. Lot of cars been flushed with no issues. Bodsy in Telford is a mobile guy and I would highly recommend you use him. No need to drive anywhere either

Hi and welcome. If the belts are done then yes get the box flushed which is around £270, worth every penny. Consider the fluid changes on the diffs and transfer box if it’s not mentioned in your paperwork. Apart from that wait for items to be picked up as it’s serviced. These are great cars and enjoy another way of getting there . 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

As above, definitely get the fluid changed in the autobox. I know you said it has full LR history, but it's worth checking what was done/not done so you can make sure it really is tip-top for you going forward.

The first rule of RRS club is: don't go to LR dealers. The second rule of RRS club is: don't go to LR dealers. Find a decent indy. LR dealers are about as much use as a Russian tourist guide of Salisbury. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Great rules! now before anyone thinks I am going to the main dealers and I get a pasting on here, I only rang them to find out what work had been done over the years and to be fair to them they were helpful telling me.

I don't think so. It's only a few clips and screws to remove the doorcard though. Kev

I spoke to Bristol Transmissions about the gearbox flush and they said that ZF recommend it at 80,000 miles, so I am going to get that done. I am on 74k now so have some time for that one. Their price didn't seem to bad either. Has anyone on here used them? they seem to have good reviews.
