ACE leaking

I've had two months of fun in the car now it's payback time, first last week parking brake stuck on £1300 for new module, discs, pads and calipers as not covered by warranty now the ACE is leaking from the front drivers side, I haven't the time or inclination to do this myself, and yep, not covered by warranty, what's the average for this work, I'm rapidly falling out of love with this thing at the moment Sad

mine did same Sad i changed it manually.

parts here

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Range-Rover-Spo...2749.l2649

its a body slightly raised job. while your there id say do both front and back. parts alone is about 500quid for front and back. but once body is up on an actual bench its actually a really easy job.

gotta also take into account that pipes might of seized in your valve block and a new one of those is also a tad pricey. also then theres 40ish quid for new filter, and lets say 20-30quid for fresh oil.

Wafoo - where did you buy the vehicle? Was it privately or from a dealer? If it's from a dealer, take it back and demand they fix it. That is your right under the law. Don't be fobbed off by the "warranty says no, mate" response. They have a legal obligation to fix it unless they told you it was leaking when you bought it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I bought it private, FSH 12 months mot, did all my checks, bought a warranty as I've been bit before
But they don't cover Ace or the Electronic parking brake.
I'll probably chuck it in the garage that did the handbrake as I'm a contractor if I don't work I don't get paid, it's just a huge Censored but hey ho
I could live with a grand if that's the ballpark figure, I'll ring the garage tomorrow 😢

Well apart from the ‘thing’ I shan’t mention, you’ll have had 2 of what I would consider the 4 main things that would go wrong on that age of car. The ACE pipes, the roll bars, the EPB and the other one which I won’t jinx. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Tbf I think the bars only go if there's a leak and not enough oil getting to them

I believe there’s no seals on the outer side of the bars and like everything else that rotates, they ware out and this is accelerated by dirt and contaminates. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Excellent, pipes corroded through, so sod it, pipes to be changed, new valve block, seal kits booked in for Thursday, just waiting for the suspension to give up the ghost to round off the week

Garage say they have about 50% success rate fitting new pipes to the old valve body with corrosion etc, if it leaks the whole lot has to come off again, they're a Land Rover indie so I'll go with it
