Reversing Camera Water Ingress
I have a bit of water ingress in my reversing camera, which explains the poor quality especially in low light. Apparently this isn't covered by the approved used warranty.
Can't quite believe the price I've been quoted by the main dealer. Has anyone else had / resolved this problem in a cost-effective manner?
Thanks

Had this on my MY16 car. Twice. Both times changed under warranty.
What is the "get out" clause under the approved used warranty?MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Thanks for replying promtly.
The phrase in the Warranty Handbook Reads:
"as a result of water ingress e.g. through damaged or ineffective door, window or roof seals, through doors or sunroofs left open, or caused by flood water."
Surely the rear camera is it's own sealed unit and the water hasn't come from a door seal and should therefore be covered - I shall query this one with the dealership.

I recently bought my wife’s L494 from a friend who had owned the car from new. The only repair carried out during his ownership was the replacement of the reversing camera, which according to the dealer was a known issue and replaced under warranty.
