I took my mine to the dealer and although they said it was not covered by warranty, they carried out the work for free anyway.

It was a warranty job to fix if you complained but isn’t 100% successful and you loose some fuel capacity as a result 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Think it’s a big bag of special sponges which they place in the tank to stop the slop.... it definately works! |

If you’ve got a half tank of fuel, you’ll hear it banging and slapping when you move about. You can force it too, by reversing at a slightly higher speed and slamming on the brakes. Seems to be common enough, but I’m not sure what the complete parts list is yet. MY15.5 HSE MY13 110 MY87 90 (ex-mod) (for sale) |

This was only the early L494’s. My 64 plate SDV6 I had at the time was prone to it... it was more of a bonk noise when engaging reverse or starting in low gears...it was quite a noticeable noise but only at low speed manoeuvres. I complained when mine was under warranty and they got access to the tank and placed baffles in it which solved the problem. |

I fail to understand why the manufacturer won't fix it outside of warranty for free? If its a known issue with the car then they should fix it? |

It's not a safety concern, so why would they? |

Are you new to Land Rovers? LR these days don't do anything with respect to customer service unless a gun is put against their head. And even then they'll argue the toss. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

We've done a couple. Doesn't cure it fully, but make it less pronounced |
