I think I know the answer to this, but may as well ask the question!

I believe in the attached photo the top airbag is an early dual stage design and the bottom is a later single stage design.

I'm assuming they are NOT compatible - that is even if you change the clock spring to the correct wiring the car programming will not work properly with it and it's a complete no go.

If anyone knows any different do share...!
