Has anyone tried the Invery Airdual bluetooth adapter for LR? I have the kit sound dongle at the moment but I hate plugging it into the Aux point (most stupid place ever) anyway the Airdual plugs into the 30 pin iPod connection in the centre arm rest..but what puts me off is it might stay connected to my phone in the house when the car is parked up..which will be a pain..anyone any experience of this option? Gone but not forgotten, 2005 RRS SC first edition, BMW 2010 Z4,TVR Tamora, TVR Cerb, MERC SL 55 AMG, E46 M3, Z4, Jag S type R, Skyline R33 GTR 640 bhp, Evo FQ 400, L322 RR, X5, Lotus Esprit V8 twin turbo, Lotus Elise 135r, Nissan Murano, Honda S2000, 911, Boxster s...and a few more

Not sure about the Invery Airdual , but I use a Bluetooth FM transmitter for my music.
Plugged into the rear cig lighter socket, it’s out of the way (and out of mind) and works flawlessly

And doesn’t interfere with the operation of the seats

Unfortunately mine doesn’t . (But then again I don’t have the iPod connection)
I’m not 100% about any others that will , they are connected by Bluetooth to your phone, not the car
I can f/fwd r/wnd using the gadget which was only £12 , but to be honest I don’t bother , I just touch my phone

I've never heard of the module you mention, but take a look at the Bovee 1000, it too connects to the IPOD connection in the centre armrest but isn't powered when the car is not running and loses connection to your phone when it's about 10m away.

Phone calls continue to come through the normal LR bluetooth system but the music can be fully controlled from the steering wheel and, if properly configured, all the relevant data about the music being played is displayed on the centre screen.

I've had mine for a year or so now and cannot fault it.

The Airdual is a very similar set up. My problem is that the Bovee has a battery life of about 5 hours and my parked car is about 5 metres from my living room..so id constantly be turning the bluetooth on and off. I'm sure the Aux/USB sockets power down on mine after a few mins and the car shuts down and goes to "sleep". Sure some where on the forum someone posted a mod to the fuses/fuse box to enable the power sockets to remain permanently live don't suppose somebody has done that by any chance, only a thought.

This one is on the D3 forum, could have a look to see if it's been done.

I didn't do it as a mod to the existing circuitry, but I did install a fusible link to one of the spare permanently live slots in the fusebox behind the glovebox and I've used that to power a switched 12v socket so that I can have phone charging etc when camping without needing ignition on.

A small mod, but a really useful one.

Yeah, I added a switched usb socket in the glovebox as well when hardwiring dash cam in so could charge phone out of site when car locked if needed.

Hi guys, i bought this for my 2010 RR Sport so i could bluetooth stream music from my iphone and still select tracks from the screen. It was only £12 and I thought - worth a try. It fit the ipod connection in the armrest perfectly and once fitted my phone bit pair with it - this got me quite hopeful. However, the following message came up on the headunit and it doesn't stream music.

My question is - has anyone else bought this? Have I got a duff one or do they simply not work?
