England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Firenze Red
20 inch wheel

My 2017 RRS autobiography is currently on 21 inch rims.
I am moving location and moving up a mile & half farm track, which is roughish. I want more rubber on the wheel to offer better protection and save having to replace tyres and rims frequently.
The car has brembo callipers on.

Question: Can I change the 21 inch rims to 20 inch?

Thanks.

I think that you could go down to 19” if required. 20” on a 255 55 20 seems to be an option in the sales brochure.

From my experience you need to be careful what wheels you choose. I had all sorts of problems when I tried to fit some 19s to replace my 20s. Those Brembo brakes do cause some issues and offset is something you will find lots about as you go down the options. Members here have all had successes with changing size but in some cases it has meant adding spacers.

If you can, the best thing to do is to try fitting whatever wheel you choose before parting with any cash just to make sure that it doesn't foul. And it makes absolute sense to ensure you are buying good quality wheels - these cars aren't light and you don't want inferior build quality of some cheaper wheels to lead to a collapse Robin

I’ve fitted 20s on my 67 plate that had 22s on. They were very close to the brembos so I don’t think 19s would fit

Ah! Didn’t read the caption. 20” standard on HSE or No Cost Option on other models.

20 in wheels / tyres

My 2015 rrs came with 21” wheels but I bought a set of 20” to run through the winter although they did have summer tyres on Very Happy ride quality over the pot holes improved, not so easy to curb. Wife prefers the 21” though. 2015 SDV6 306bhp Dynamic santorini black.

20” wheels and tyres

The 20” wheels taking up too much room to store, so soon I will take pics and put them up for sale, all complete with TPMS sensors and they will be cheap! 2015 SDV6 306bhp Dynamic santorini black.

Still have not got around to taking pics, they are in wheel covers too and with at least 4mm on all matching quality tyres, will be looking for £200 the lot, pick up only. 2015 SDV6 306bhp Dynamic santorini black.

Tyre size is 255/55/R20 so the rolling size was the same as my 21” . The tyres are Michelin latitude sport. 2015 SDV6 306bhp Dynamic santorini black.
