Hi Dave, the problem isn't to do with the sensor or the filter. That's why your mechanic hasn't fixed it. The problem is with the housing.

I had the housing and new sensor fitted and the problem is now fixed. I've had the car almost 3 1/2 years now and still love it, yes there are a few jobs to do mainly cosmetic but at the moment it is running fine. 3 sensors have failed, 2 of which I've replaced myself, I could have replaced the fuel sensor and housing but as the lower steering column had seized and needed replacing I had the mechanic do the job. Her's a video of the work done for the MOT fail earlier this year. |
