Thought about turning it off, decided the feature was more important than the relatively small chance someone scanning my key.

I think a higher risk is the interception of the key fob RF signal when a button is pressed, which is a much stronger signal than passive keyless signals. I never used the key fob buttons with my L320, I only ever used keyless. And same today with me]y new wheels.

I'd read an article on this type of theft, typically the thieves hang around a supermarket carpark waiting for an owner to drive home who they follow. The use a jammer to prevent the car locking and as most people are locking it as walking away, in this case more occupied with arms full of shopping then they don't notice it not lock. That article suggested keyless was a more secure option, but I cannot remember if it touched on pouches and that type of theft. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

What I noticed was with mine which is probably the same for everyone, is I can unlock/lock the car with the key fob from at least 25 metres away from the car, if i use the door handle/buttons the fob has to be within a couple of meters of the car, which is why i never use the fob as figured there was far less chance of signal being intercepted by not using the fob. Always watch the mirrors fold when locking to make sure it's locked as wll.

I have MY2012 and tried every YouTube trick to turn off the keyless entry, I can't get it to work. Is there a way to toggle this with a GAP tool? Otherwise next time it's at the stealer I'll get it done. 2018 Telsa MS
