Some advice please. Does anyone know how long air struts should last under normal circumstances. Just I've noticed mines seems to be sitting a bit high gap between wheel and wheel arch, and wondered if the shock in middle wears, causing airbags to rise .
Finally which diagnostics tool recommend, I'm looking at Lynx evo, Gap iid Bluetooth and icarsoft. Wanting one that covers whole of vehicle

I had ongoing issues with steering wander which was largely fixed when I replaced my rear shocks on 74,000 miles. Easy to test - no difference from any other car. Just bounce on a corner and see if they continue moving or stop. I opened the rear door and crouched in the boot to bounce it.

Its not something to do with the height sensors is it? Does you 4x4 display show any issues on height? Robin

Not sure about height sensors, worth checking, milage is 123000, and no records of the suspension other than arms being changed in service records and receipts. The car does sometimes adjust itself when parked, but mostly when on a slope. It can feel quite wallowing in corners and unsettled over bumps at times, which led me to think struts and shocks

Yes, I certainly think bouncing it is worth a try. Costs nothing to check

(And forgive me if I'm teaching you to suck eggs, but when bounced down on each corner the car should go up just once then back to its static position. If it does more than one bounce "cycle" then its a good indication that the shocks are knackered) Robin
