boot switch replacement

2013 January model SDV6
My boot still opens via the key fob and interior switch but no longer manually so I'm either going to clean the micro switch cavity or replace the switch entirely.Should it become the latter.....
1,Is it one of those jobs where I need to plug in a laptop to clear any alarms generated afterwards or can I go straight in and break the connections ?
2,Best place to purchase a replacement from

Thanks Thumbs Up

If you are referring to the one between the rear number plate lights it is simply plug and play nothing needs coding. You will need to remove the inner tailgate trim panel to access it though. I did mange to get a new genuine L/R one of ebay although not expensive from L/R, if I remember right the are actualy the same as a Freelander but the ewok is different, sure have a spare one here could get part number off box if any help.

Cheers
