Wheel Swop

Is anyone interested in swapping a set of genuine LR 20" wheels and 255/55 tyres for a set of genuine LR delivery mileage 21" and 275/45 tyres as shown below. Wheels are in Sparkle Silver and are 100% perfect.

Thanks

Hi Dave, I'm not interested in swapping, but I bought my wheels with 255/55/20 with 7mm tread on all, Michelin Latitude Sport tyres, immaculate condition for £360. The guy is local to me and has plenty of sets available. PM me if you want me to pass his number on to you.

Here's a pic of them on my L320...

Hi Guys,

Could you tell me if these wheels bolt straight upto the L320 2006 Range Rover sport 2.7 or were any modifcations needed?

Also is 255/55/20 the best tyre choice for these wheels?

Thanks

Just fitted a set of these on my 2007 L320, gone from a set of 275/40/20......my question is how far out is the speedo now and is there any changes required to the settings via an IID tool or if it is possible to do this 2015 L494 SDV6 3.0 HSE Loire Blue

Check it against your GPS speed with your phone. I find mine is bang on until I reach 70mph where I find I'm actually doing 72mph. Kev

Interesting, just entered dimensions into https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/tyre-wh...calculator

Shows i would be doing actual 76mph at an indicated 70mph, seems consistent, 65 for 60, 54 for 50, 43 for 40, 32 for 30
Would adjusting the ccf on an IID tool rectify the problem? Or am i just going to have to watch my speedo more?

@knwatkins will check with my tomtom tomorrow 2015 L494 SDV6 3.0 HSE Loire Blue

Speedos generally read 10% low from the factory which would explain the difference.

Concerning the IID tool, 255/55/20 is not an official size for the L320 so it isn't an option (not when I had a quick look at mine anyway). Kev

Agree about 10% but the other way.....indicated 70 would be 64 actual......not 76 actual 2015 L494 SDV6 3.0 HSE Loire Blue

Sorry skid, I'm confused.

In your first post you say: 76mph at an indicated 70mph

In your second post you say: indicated 70 would be 64 actual

What you are saying in your first post is correct. For one revolution of the wheel when the car thinks it is going 70mph, you are travelling further because of the increased rolling circumference and therefore your actual speed will be higher than 70mph.

Or have I completely missed your point/question? Laughing Apologies if so! Kev

Rolling with laughter i am saying the calculator says at an indicated 70mph on my speedo i will actually be doing 76mph

i was merely agreeing with you about the 10% lower actual speed out of the factory but this change in tyre size is going to give me approximately 10% the other way.......ie. faster not slower 2015 L494 SDV6 3.0 HSE Loire Blue
