I have just settled my LR Finance.

I did an online settlement figure which gave me a figure of £41k if settled by 30th Jan.

As LR Finance can not accept a debit card payment online over £30k I paid £21k one day. The following day it showed receipt of my funds and a new settlement figure of £20,017 (valid until 1st Feb). I paid the exact £20k and now the balance is zero.

However - On this basis I kind of reckon I am therefore owed an interest rebate as I have paid interest until 30th Jan so +/- 20 days worth.

It works the other way round, when you get a settlement request the amount quoted is for that day and they don't add interest until the settlement is made or the date reached. I worked for a finance company many years ago and I think it is covered in more detail and lawfully in the consumer credit act. Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
