Mid Wales

With SWMBO with me for the first time, I spent the weekend off-roading in Mid Wales with Tom from 4x4 Adventure Tours (and whose photo I have nicked to insert below). Cracking scenery. Cracking roads. Cracking weather. Cracking tyre. A Duractrac Wrangler with a gashed sidewall (my third so far Evil or Very Mad ) required a mad dash to Aberyswyth Kwik Fit (who only had a Pirelli P Zero in 255/55/R19), it was a good day, driving through the dusk and continuing into the dark. Found a great B & B, too!

Day 2 was a washout for us the car had big electrical problems (but Ill have to start another thread on that)

Tom's video of Day 2:

Sounds like you've got a box of loose spanners crashing around in there with you! Rolling with laughter

Id that your suspension or something else?

How bad was the tyre damage? Did it lose pressure? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I fixed some shackles and a pulley to the dog guard. They got moved... Wink

The tyre had a cut running about a cm from the rim for a couple of inches (to mix my units). It was completely flat. Oddly, in one of Tom's photos it is OK but five minutes later when we had been on proper road, it was flat. These cars need a 'wheel change' suspension setting!

I probably need to apologise for the artwork in the dirt at the driver's side corner of the bonnet at the front. Only spotted that yesterday. The perils of having a teenage son! Rolling Eyes Laughing
