I am looking to buy an iid tool, orange diagnostic kit that can do most things on the rrs, but can also be used on other cars, any ideas I what system to get

well only you can answer that, depending on how much the orange one is
and how many other cars you have that need advanced readers

you can buy very cheap ones these days to do the engines on your other cars

Entirely depends how much work you intend doing yourself...

The IID is perfect if your going to do your repairs yourself, but obviously, at a price

A generic code reader that does other cars will either be useless, or cost a lot more than the IID
