My TOPIx spec says my car has 'Remote Ice Controls'.

I assumed this to mean I can programme my diesel water heater to come on and off prior to driving the car.

I have no remote fob, which I know can be bought, but the manual option is not available via my in car touch screen.

If I have this option, could it have been switched off, and/or can it be switched on via the correct tool?

Well that's a possibility, however no controls on rear doors, and although I have the remote heater, no way to use it via my screen. 2010 3.6 TDV8 HSE (Gone)

A 2010 car wouldn’t have the RSE controls on the door, instead it has a remote control and white fire headphones. I haven’t seen that wording before. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

I think they may also refer to the Audio Steering Wheel Switch as remote control, just thought I read it somewhere but could well be wrong.

Thanks guys, it would apear I had brain fade and confused the ICE terminology.

Whatever it might mean with regards to the audio, I'm more than happy with how it performs and how I can control it.

Looking to add remote operation to the FBH though, will be checking to see if wiring and/or the transceiver are located in the rear quarter area of the boot.

Is any vehicle with the FBH able to use it via the in car screen if the system is told to offer it?

The RRS I recently bought from iLard on here has the Bodsy remote and already it’s been invaluable! I had a couple of 3am finishes last week and it was cold, all the cars were iced up. 20mins before finish I pressed the remote, got the blinking green light and then when I went out 20mins later presto it was warm, toasty and defrosted! Everyone else was scraping the ice off or sat waiting for engines to heat up - priceless!
