Hi all

New to me 2016 SVR steamed up during cold wet weather last week or so, LR had a look on Friday and found that some f**c wit had jammed a pollen filter in there without opening the flap to accept the filter, so the system is stuck in the recirc mode only using air inside the cabin. They expect the rods that open and close the flap thing for the system will have been snapped off, and its a dash out fix to replace.

Anyone seen this before, do the rods detach in design but can be reconnected, on the basis that idiots put the filters in wrong

The supplying none LR dealer is aware of the problem and the cost but I want to avoid dash removal if at all possible for obvious reasons so the repair is 100% the preferred option.

Just manually pulled the cover down to close it then pressed recirc, it was trying bit by bit to go up but got there, i pulled it down again and tried it again, pressed recirc then this time it opened perfectly, maybe was jammed, will have a look again tomorrow to see if it will close on its own too?

Seems like its sticking when it opens, its struggling to close on its own, access is very limited so cant really see why

Ok, can now get the flap to open on command from the recirc button but it only opens half way, but then can get it to close again on command, sounds like its jamming or maybe the motor on the side that operates the door, anyone know?
