Are the roof track systems on the RRS and the D3/4 the same distance apart along the length of the vehicle?. Seen a rack that Iβm interested in but donβt want to jump before checking this out, many thanks Andy. |

Remember the RRS roof is basically flat where the Disco roof is stepped and had 3 rack variations - a long one where the mounts take into account the stepped roof, a short one for the front section of the roof and a medium length one for the rear section - likewise there are variation in the track - long and short.

Im going to say no as Disco 4 genuine roof bars wont fit because they are to wide, even though the track you are talking about looks the same. I tried this many moons ago when i first got my sport. Also a D3/4 roof is alot longer than a Sport roof. Are you looking for an Expo rack for your sport? 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

That was my thought so let it go, there seems to be a steady flow of D3 racks coming through various market places but not many RRS ones at all. I'm at the point where i would consider buying another Front Runner rack but they do not list one for the RRS. |

Thanks for that and only 25 miles away only one problem, I thought I had it Β£350 to see what would happen but must have hit Β£320 by mistake. Then Β£320 comes up as winning bid great I thought only to find out someone else had bid Β£320 before me so they win it. The hunt goes on. |

I agree with you Auto, i'm just looking at the feet on the D3/4 rack as they seem more adjustable and still use the T track system that's on the sport. I've had a couple of F/R racks and they are expensive but good quality and they were always willing to help, 2 years ago their Euro base was in Belgium and i was close by one afternoon so decided to pop in, gave them my name and they looked on computer and it was like a lost old friend found. Tour of the shop with coffee and then a tour of the warehouse and shown new goodies that were coming out, money spent with free shipping to home arranged for when i got back off holiday. Based in Hanover now i see so trip to Germany to see the Black forest again may be. |
