Fitted a replacement suspension pump now new issues

Hi guys. I’ve got a tdv6 2006 sport. My suspension pump has sounded worn out for a while and the suspension fault light kept coming on now so i fitted a new one. It all went fine till I started it up now I’ve got c1a13-64 pressure does not decrease when venting gallery, coming up on the fault code reader. Has anyone got any ideas or advice ??? I’m a bit lost on this one.

Cheers.

Have you fitted an AMK in place of a Hitachi?

It had a hitachi one on it already. So I’ve just fitted a new one of them. Could the pump be faulty ?

Ask the obvious but are the pipes the correct way round? although wouldn't know if it's possible to fit them the wrong way.

Venting is controlled by the central valve block just in front of the air compressor - I assume the old compressor was replaced due to the descant being old - it goes white and powdery and clogs up the rest of the system.

So take the central valve block out and clean it all out.

Failing that the exhaust valve in the new compressor could be sticking so take it out and check it.

Was it a genuine Hitachi, or a Chinese clone of a Hitachi?

If it was a genuine, then you most likely have a wiring fault in the car, being an 06MY

I’m guessing it was a Chinese clone as it was only cheap. Have they got a reputation of being faulty ??

A garage across the road from us fitted 3 eBay specials, before throwing in the towel, and letting us fit a genuine AMK. All was well afterwards, and 1st time Thumbs Up

Yeh I got a feeling that’s gonna be the case with mine. It must be the pump as I’ve never had this fault code before and it came up soon as I started it 🙄. Suppose you get what you pay for !

Either fit a genuine Hitachi or pay the money and switch to a genuine AMK conversion kit. Over the years, a genuine AMK has not proven it to be a better compressor to a genuine Hitachi so it comes down to personal preference - genuine in both is expensive.

The issue with replacement Hitachi and AMK compressors is that there are so many clones on the market that it is often hard to determine what is what particularly as many clone compressors are sold as "hitachi type" or "AMK type".

You could have built your original Hitachi resulting in an as new compressor.
