Hi looking for advice. Has anyone fitted a roof tent to their sport, if so how did you fix it onto the roof, my sport doesn't seem to have proper, roof bars, instead they're like a groved bar running length of the car, that crossbars slot into it

Those slots are only held in by three bolts, so can come out. Various roof bars are available on eBay, etc., (but I haven't fitted any).
