05/55 Supercharged Value Advice

From an advert on the internet :-

"19,000 miles, Java Black Metallic With Ebony Sports Leather. Colour Coding To All Door Handles, Front And Rear Lower Bumper Sections, Front Grille Surround, Side Vent Surrounds, Lower Door Mouldings And Wing Mirrors. Touch Screen Satellite Navigation. Personal Telephone Integration System. Electric Glass Tilt/slide Sunroof. Privacy Glass. Side Runners. Rhodium Trim. 1 Owner. UK Supplied. Just Serviced And New Tyres. Perfect Throughout!

£42,950. "

It's a November car.

I've removed the name of the vendor to ensure that this is not an advert and therefore within the rules of the forum.

Good value chaps? Dealer doesn't want to lower the price.

41k would be a better price... it is a tad overpriced at nearly 43k imho.

The fact it's colour coded and has side sills has next to no value on the second hand market so you don't want to be paying a premium for those, if that's what the dealer reckons.

I would suggest that he realises that the TDV8 will knock the resale on the SC's very soon. Still could do a little better. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

I'm looking at another one. almost identical in a private sale.

Owner wants £45. I reckon £41-42 for a 14000 miler.

That about right?

I'd be surprised if he ever gets anywhere near 45k privately. 41k is a fair price I would have said. But what VA said is right too.... the TDV8 is going to knock SC residuals a fair bit.

Owner has an offer from a dealer at £44.... I think he should take that.
