Transmission Fault loss of drive

This on going fault has been has been haunting me for the last three years of ownership, i have all the faults ie: HDC fault transmission fault, suspension lower fault ,handbrake fault i have the lot, brake light switch/Handbrake control box and handbrake switch all changed, gearbox has been rebuilt, gearbox ecu changed, battery changed, both egr valves new, the only problem i have now and has been on and off last 3 years is transmission fault comes up on dash and cars looses all drive, engines revs but vehicle dose not move, no limp home mode as vehicle does not drive, switch off and restart car drives perfect till next time, everytime it happens loss of drive completely , 10,000 quid has been spent on this with the dealers through my mechanical insurance but this runs out next month after 3 years, and fault still not cured, with loss of drive do you think its still gearbox fault, ideas please.

The linkage is usually blamed for this.
A new bush under car.

Try selecting N then back to D
Does that fix it ?

Yep tried that, the gearbox was rebuilt 6 months ago so i presume the linkage would have been checked and adjusted then. when the gearbox was rebuilt they only replaced the parts needed, in my case it was a judder sometimes when accelerating.

It’s done when the gearbox is refitted to the car.

If your getting a dash error message there should be a fault code.
And if not that is telling
