Central locking issue - temporary fix remove battery

I’ve bought an 05 about a week ago and I’ve been having some issues with the central locking and I’m wondering if anyone can help.

So when I got the car everything is fine both keys unlocked the car with one push of the button- working as they should.

A few days later I’m having to press the button on the keys a couple of times to get the car to unlock - both keys.

Then a few days ago the car would not unlock at all.

I unplugged the battery for 5 mins and then reconnected and the keys started working perfectly again.

Now the car is starting to become a bit unresponsive again. I’m having to press unlock a few times to get it to work.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? I don’t believe the keys are the problem as one is new and the other is working totally fine. As well as that both keys are getting the same result when trying to unlock the car.

Any advice on how to sort this is much appreciated.
