If it wasn't saving plenty of money then they would not bother take this step, especially after winning What Car? used car scheme awards a few times. So this nods to a disappointing 'fact' regards LR reliability of even their finest used examples. I think this is a mistake in the medium to long term. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... When I bought my first RRS this April it was a choice of buying from an independent dealer, or paying £4-5k more for similar from a franchised dealer. Took the first option and a belt and braces 3-year warranty from Warranty Direct and still well in pocket. Now it's even more of a no-brainer. 2013 L494 5.0 SC in Chile Red |

Seems a bit harsh and as others have said, from the negativity and backlash that they will get I can only presume they're going to save a hell of a lot of money doing it!

I bet they won't bring the prices down on the vehicles though. Andy.

To be honest, there's no reason to buy second hand from a Land Rover dealership. The two year warranty used to be a good thing, but one year is little better from many other garages these days, and comes with wriggle-outs. My local LR indy, for example, has a simple "any issues in the first 12 months, bring it back and we'll fix it" promise. I'll probably buy my next one from.them, assuming I stay with the brand. Looking now, they have a 2018 RRS AB with 6k miles at £2k less than similar on LR's approved used site. Why go to LR? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

If the two year warranty goes there will be no point.
