I have recently bought some second hand crossbars for my ´06 L320. The crossbars states the following information: Partnr: VUB503330 Type X048. I did some "googling" and found out that these should fit the L320 prior to the purchase.

When I got the crossbars I was disappointed to see that the bars were too short for my L320. They are adjustable from 119cm to 114cm. (outer measurements on the legs that go "into the rail".

Does anyone have any tips or is this crossbars for another vehicle?

It sounds like they should be correct - a similar set with the same part number was advertised on this forum last year (https://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post552289.html).
Does your L320 have genuine LR roof rails - maybe that’s the problem? Current: 2020 P400e HSE Dynamic

How are you trying to mount them? I’ve not fitted or even own a pair of these but I suspect you maybe trying to fit them incorrectly. I’ve a feeling the black trim needs to be removed out of the channel and these fit in there. Would you be trying to fit the across the whole roof to the door tops? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

I have the roof rails fitted as per the video, so that is not the problem. The crossbars are just too short

Well, does anyone know other manufacturers using the same crossbar aluminium profile? It will be quite easy to mount a wider aluminium profile in order to get it to fit.

I have genuine L/R roof rails and crossbars fitted to mine, although the crossbars are not currently on the vehicle I will dig them out and check what part number they have on them. The car is a MY13 but the rails/crossbars are the same on the 2005 through to 2013 Sport.

It would be nice if you cound measure them when you have them out aswell.

This is number marked on mine, total overall length, 2nd picture fully extended, 3rd picture fully closed, I will ask the question but I assume you are actualy extending both ends of the crossbars.

Good question, but I am extending fully both sides.

I even checked the sides og the aluminiumprofile to see if the previous owner cut them down but ut does not seem so.
