SVR Tyres - Summer or not?

Hi All
Have placed an order for my first SVR and so excited. There is a zero cost option for the summer tyres. Is this worth it ? Will I lose traction in the usual all road ones with the amount of power this beast delivers? I don’t really do off roading. But bearing in mind weather isn’t great in south east what should I choose?

I would be more worried with the lack of traction that the summer tyres give you with a slight frosting in the winter!
I run all seasons on my 5.0S and have found them to be perfect for both....
Unless you are tracking it I cannot see the benefits you would gain with Summer tyre figment only...

The only issue will be braking in poor conditions. With appropriate throttle use, the SVR will be able to make forward progress on summer tyres all year round (within reasonable bounds of course).

This SVR was on the Pirelli Verde all seasons:

Would you need to be able to do more than this? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If you live in an area with snow I’d recommend all season tires. My SVR has summer spec tires and the tread depth appears to be half that as all seasons. I’m looking for all seasons currently for the fast approaching winter months.

It's a heavy, very expensive, vehicle that will slide beautifully on summer tyres in the snow... Whistle Rolling with laughter

If you're intending to use the vehicle all year round, having an all season tyre makes sense. It's not like there are many opportunities to really chuck such a vehicle around on the roads these days anyway. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
