Hi, I have a 2011 Range Rover Sport with 97,000 miles on it. When I picked the car up the other week, I had noticed a steering wheel wobble at around 50 - 60mph, the steering wheel would wobble back and fourth slightly, almost like a vibration.

I've taken it to the garage and found there to be a few things, all of which have now been fixed but the problem persists, the things identified and fixed are:

1. Front wheel tires were different, Front left had 4 tread lines, Front right had 2, Rear left had 2, and Rear right had 4, so these were swapped so that the front 2 wheels have the same tire.

2. Wheels were balanced after the above to ensure balancing is okay.

3. The tracking of all 4 wheels were out, had this done and put right for around £70.

Despite all of the above done, by different mechanics and several viewings of under the car, none of them have identified anything else, the steering wheel continues to wobble at around 50 - 60mph, outside of these speeds the wobble is gone, and holding the steering wheel straight the car will go straight, even regardless of steering wobble.

Is this normal of a Range Rover Sport? And is it something I should be concerned about?

I had the same issue on mine once upon a time,, but it looks as if you have already tried the obvious,, wheel balancing. The two front wheels on mine were found to be out of shape rather than out of balance.
You say you have had the trackingdone on all wheels,, do you mean 4 wheel alignment,,, which is the only method to set the suspension geometry correctly, and requires a special machine and to be honest,, some places that have these still don't know how to use them correctly going by some of the stories that have appeared on here. 2010 RRS, TDV8

I have the same issue on my 61 plate, it wobbles on the same piece of road at 50 to 60 only. I think in my case it’s the tyres getting flat spots after being sat. This particular piece of road is about 1/4 mile from my house and it’s where I get my speed up for work. After this, the wobble is gone. If I drive down the same road any time during the rest of the day, no wobble!! 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Re. flatspotting, I have soft tyres on and in the heat it's even worse, 5-7 miles and it goes away. (New tyres soon)

Could be front brake discs. The L320 is very sensitive to anything not quite right at the front end. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

In my case it doesn’t happen under braking. I had warped discs on my old focus and it was like firing a machine gun everytime I tried to stop. I swore I’d never fit Mintex again after that. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

A slightly warped or buckled wheel could cause the same issue.
