Fire storm? Do you mean Firestone tyres or Stormer alloys? There are basically 2 types of 20" alloy, as far as I know, the Stormer and Supercharged. The latter, is standard on the RRS Supercharged and, I think, looks best. Tyres, well divided opinion amongst our fellow members, but Contis are popular and ok. Are these new or secondhand, and are they genuine or replica? Makes a huge difference to price! |

There's always the risk that the replicas haven't been made to the same standard as the OE wheels. On this sort of car, is that a risk worth taking? Not for me it wouldn't be...

I know what you mean, E... but unless it was proven that a particular set of alloys are exactly the same as the OEs, just sold through a different channel with a different name then who do you trust? At least with the OE kit you know where the buck stops.

Very true, but after the warranty period with OE if you have a problem your still stuffed, and you still get a warranty period/ guarantee with non OE, But there is always doubt with non OE spares as to there quality

Mine are OE, but LR wont listen to my complaint about two having slight buckles. In their opinion, cant be the wheels, must be the way its been driven. So, no guarantees, no point paying extra for OE!! |
