Doesn't the D3/4 have longer travel shocks than the Sport? |

Not sure, but will they even fit, since the L494 and D3/4 are on different platforms?

The RRS1 shares arms with the D3/4 so if the D3/4 wheels can do it, there's no reason why the RRS1 can't. Could swapping D3/4 struts on to an RRS1 allow the extra movement?

yeah, I think the variable dampers will be the issue here - I don't think the D5 has them. --
