Does your insurance not cover windscreen replacement? Mine does, all it would cost is a £75 excess.

Isn't "like for like" a genuine OEM windscreen in your case - have you had it replaced with a cheap copy previously? RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

I wouldn't trust Autoglass to provide a genuine / OEM screen. Their MO is to say either insurance won't cover it or that the one they provide is as good. They'll give you some cheap import stuff.

You could ask your LR dealer how much for a screen. They won't fit it themselves but they should be able to give you an item cost.

I would expect it to be four figures. These are big screens, heated, coated etc. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Does that quote also include the camera/sensor calibration after replacement? Wierd and wonderful things can happen if it’s not Cal’d after a replacement and some copies are that bad that it’s impossible to Cal the camera/sensors. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
