Hi guys,

Thinking of getting the above done on my MY14 SDV6 to try to remove a flat spot between 2000 and 3000 rpm which I believe is caused by the EGR valve opening

I’ve done a search but can’t find anyone who’s done it on this engine in the L494

Anyone done it? Any issues? What’s the best kit to use?

Not done it, but have a chat with Pete Bell at Bell Auto Services. He does if for Defenders and Disco TDV6s so can probably help you out. I just remapped my Defender with him, very impressive, but left the EGR open as it’s a PITA to shut it off long term on a Defender. Puma 2.2 that is.

Can't be done on the 3.0,due to DPF regen procedure

I was hoping to do this myself, but it cant be done ! I hope it can but I'm sure your right disco mikey.

My landrover mechanic (independent) has found the same answer from asking in the trade.

A shame as he’s shown me the “damage” the EGR system does in photos from customers’ cars.

Anyone got a good way of keeping these things as clean as possible? Diesel additive I guess?
