Anyone any suggestions for a good, but not exorbitantly priced aftermarket towbar arrangement for my 2014 L494 RRS?

In case it affects suggestions, the car comes with the 7 seat option.

A friend of mine as a Towbar fitting company & charges £610 to supply & fit a detachable Towbar to the L494,,he is fitting one to a friends next fri,,I’m going to watch how he removes the rear bumper in case I go down the svr kit for mine,,he says it takes him about 5 minutes to remove rear bumper. Andy.

I do have a quote from our local branch of Indespension for £500 supplied and fitted. That was for a Brink kit, including electrics. What I'm not sure of is how good Brink are. Or if I can get it done cheaper. Local garage workshop owning friend said £50-100 to fit the kit if I bring it to him, so kit under £400 and I'm winning.

Brink are good,,I had brink on my Amarok pickup that me friend fitted,,the electrics are only plug in but make sure your mate gets the right ones,,if not you could have problems Andy.

I thought all sports came with towbar pre-attached and only electrics and towbar hook/neck was required, that's what I was told by dealer anyway. As an aside my towbar detachable hook/neck thingy has just failed while caravan connected. Snapped key in lock. Was just about to leave house for Glencoe when the whole thing detached itself. Happily no damage done but weekend away scuppered. Not covered by warranty apparently so looking for replacement Westfalia towbar neck only - £750 from Land Rover ... don't think so. 2016 L494 SDV6 HSE Dynamic Carpathian Grey

Sadly not on the l494 model, the socket ended with the new model!

I have one of their bars on my L320 and it is a good bit of kit. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for the replies guys. I know what you mean regarding the removable tow hook towing caravan but never had any issues until now. Must admit to having my confidence in it reduced somewhat.
