England 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Fuji White

Looked at this thread below and again it varies in location. I wonder if there’s 2 positions it can be fitted to for LHD or RHD and it’s been fitted to the wrong position on some cars. Mine is certainly positioned under the Switch and if I was to fit the jack handle to it through the cup holders, I wouldn’t have much console left. Pulling the console out is a better option than pulling the switch out and is much quicker in my experience. Like I say, less than 2 minutes to have the console top off and you can get to it easily without damaging anything when pulling 45lb!

I just remembered I had a photo I took when I fitted the RSE, circled in red is my EPB release.

And again looking backwards to the fridge on the left.

I never had any problem releasing mine. We all have our oen views which is what makes this a great forum but dismamtling the centre console I would not recommend unless you know what you are doing. There's a reason JLR don't suggest that method. Via cupholder or switch or get it to a garage will be for pretty much everyone the sensible option.

If you know your cable is under the cup holder then I agree the cup holder method is the practical method but if it’s not, and it’s where mine is, the more practical method is to take the console top off. It’s been designed to be easily removed and it is easier than releasing the switch and breaking it. I’ve been there and done that, and I ended up taking the top off which gives plenty of room. People are so scared of working on a RR when it’s actually easier than working on a Ford. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
