Hi. Searched the forums to see if someone has wrote it before but couldn’t find anything.

After finding out the tow bar on mine is discontinued I’m looking for an alternative.

Has anyone fixed the tow trust TL1 fixed ball to their ranger sport and any problems with sensors?

No issues as of yet, I have just removed the old tow trust tow bar that had a detachable flange. Unfortunately when I bought the car it wasn’t with it, the old owner supplied it but along the line it’s now not with the car.

Just seeing if anyone had any issues with parking sensors after putting a fixed tow bar on?

Also if it’s worth buying the LR removable one but read some horror stories about those.

I’m not sure I follow that. But what are you planning to tow?

And how frequently?

When I fit my removable TowTrust item (the one you want) I don't have an issue with the sensors. I don't see why a permanent bar would cause a problem. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I have the permanent one and the only issue I have is with rear ground clearance, eh Wayne?

The LR fixed one is lower still. The removable ones are fine but if you're towing regularly, then you might want something more substantial.

FWIW I've disconnected my sensors as they're a pain and I've never had an issue parking/reversing.
